@Dr2NisreenAlwan Given the virus is airborne and can survival in the air for 8 hours (WHO), what if an infected person left a few minutes ago, then a new person in? So better wearing in all time in public place. Facemask protest people from 3 dimensions, social distance protect people in 2D.

The virus is the same. The differences are the measures taken by different Govs. That leads to the different number in death.

UK has 7,978 #COVID19 deaths now compared to 208 in South Korea (similar population size to England), that is 4/million in SK versus 118/million in UK.
....but some still think our ‘modelling’ is better! 😢

The doubt on mask wearing is about protecting the person wearing a mask. But when two persons both wear masks with 1 meter apart, the droplets will need to come thru one mask, fly 1 meter and get thru another mask. What evidence is needed to show such blockage has no effect?

Today we received 300 ventilators purchased from China, for @NHSuk hospitals. Thousands more due in the coming weeks. Large shipment of masks & protective equipment has also arrived, flown from Shanghai by @virgin. Thanks @ukinchina for helping deliver these life-saving supplies.

Our fantastic nurses at the Lister are working on wards with Covid-19 positive patients with only this PPE, they feel they are being asked to fight a war with no armour. We must be able to do better than this. We’ve been told this is @PHE_uk compliant, surely that can’t be right?
