BREAKING: Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces have officially withdrawn from Perim Island in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, leaving the island at the strait's narrowest point to Yemen's Houthis, per two Yemeni government sources to Reuters.
In just 24 hours the Houthis have taken Mocha, Dhubab, Zuqar Island, Hisn Murad and Perim, more than 3,000 sq. km, and now hold every point on the Yemeni side of the strait from the Red Sea coast down to its narrowest crossing.
BREAKING: The Houthis have swept through the last stretch of Yemenâs Red Sea coast, completing an 18-hour offensive that gives them full control of the entire Red Sea coastline, reports our correspondent on the ground.

I don't mean this as some sort of gotcha for the OP, but really the entire World Cup should have been boycotted the moment the US prevented the Irani team from remaining in the country after every day. We are here precisely because no action was taken there.
What an absolute disgrace. A FIFA-certified referee being denied entry to the United States purely because he is Somali.
The World Cup is meant to bring people together. This is racism, plain and simple. Shameful.

Iranian Football Federation announces the 8% ticket quota allocated to Iran has been revoked by the U.S., leaving the federation currently unable to distribute tickets to supporters.
A case study in political interference, discrimination and FIFA looking the other way.
So far at the 2026 FIFA Epstein Cup before a ball kicked:
- Senegal & Uzbekistan squads treated like criminals upon arrival given full cavity searches;
- Africaâs best referee sent back to Somalia despite having a diplomatic passport;
- Iraq team photographer sent back despite valid visa;
- AIPS (international sport journalist association) calling on FIFA to sort out unacceptable visa issues of African & Iranian journalists;
- 90% of Moroccan fans with tickets denied entry
- 14 members of Iran backroom staff denied visas
Not a word from Gianni âtoday I feel black/gay/disabled etcâ Infantino.
Iraqi footballer Aymen Hussein issued a statement after being detained and questioned for seven hours upon entering the United States:
âIf America is so hostile towards foreign nationals, why is it hosting the #2026WorldCup?â
IRAN JUST PUBLISHED THE EXACT LIST OF TARGETS THEY WILL STRIKE IF THE US HITS THEM AGAIN â AND NAMED THE PRICE FOR TOUCHING THE STRAIT
Not vague threats. Not "we will respond." NAMED FACILITIES. SPECIFIC BASES. Country by country.
đ§đ US 5th Fleet Headquarters, Bahrain â commands ALL US naval operations across the Persian Gulf, Red Sea, and Arabian Sea â struck with ballistic missiles and drones
đ°đŒ Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait â primary US Air Force staging hub for the entire Gulf theater â struck
đ°đŒ Camp Arifjan, Kuwait â US Army forward logistics hub â struck
đŠđȘ Oil tanker near Dubai â civilian commercial shipping â struck
đźđ· Trigger: US strikes on Qeshm Island + Iranian tanker near the Strait of Hormuz â Iran's stated response: 1.5x as hard, every single time
đžđŠ Strait of Hormuz â explicitly named by IRGC as the enforcement mechanism â "disrupting its security will have a heavy price for the invading US military"
đ 4 named targets struck simultaneously in a single wave
đ The US 5th Fleet HQ has never been struck in its operational history â Bahrain just became a front line
đ ZERO tit-for-tat remaining â Iran publicly abandoned proportional response
đ 100% of the targets are US military command and logistics infrastructure â not symbolic
Every target on this list keeps American power projection in the Gulf alive. Not civilians. COMMAND NODES.
Iran's new doctrine is still active. Every US self-defense strike now triggers a guaranteed 1.5x response. And the Strait of Hormuz â carrying 20% of the world's oil â is the named price tag.

BREAKING: Iran has launched a massive ballistic missile and drone attack, striking the US 5th Fleet headquarters in Bahrain along with US bases in Kuwait, Ali Al Salem + Arifjan, and an oil tanker near Dubai, in response to new US strikes on Qeshm Island and an Iranian oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz, per Tasnim.
Iran says it has officially abandoned tit-for-tat retaliation, now striking back "at least 1.5x as hard" for every US attack, with IRGC warning "disrupting the security of the Strait of Hormuz will have a heavy price for the invading US military."
Iran is targeting US bases in Kuwait, Bahrain and Iraq following US attacks on Qeshm Island
Iran seems to have recognized that deterrence can only be established by forcing the US regime - the mafia co-opted by Greater Israel - to recognize every terrorist action has a cost
