Always great to visit @HMYOIWerrington and see their efforts to support children and young people in custody. Proud of the hard work. #YCS#YouthJustice
💪Great to see Poppy on #Gladiators!
Her role is essential in helping young people with not only physical wellbeing but also discipline, teamwork, and resilience.
These skills can directly impact better decision making in everyday life, reducing the likelihood of reoffending.
Thrilled to see one of our own, PEI Poppy from @HMYOI_Wetherby, showcasing her strength and skills in the upcoming Gladiators series on @BBCiPlayer. Incredible talent across HMPPS. Looking forward to cheering her on! #Gladiators Ready!
My thanks to colleagues at @hmyoifeltham for participating in the BBC’s recent knife crime documentary.
This helped give unique insight into the challenges faced by children and young people – and by our staff working with them to make a difference.

Throughout the festive period, our extraordinary staff continue to work to maintain public safety and support rehabilitation across prisons, probation and youth custody.
We caught up with staff working on Christmas Day at HMYOI Werrington ⬇️
My wholehearted thanks to all YCS staff, our partners and wider colleagues across the youth estate, working over the Christmas period to provide safe, decent care and make a real difference in the lives of children and young people in custody.
We welcomed in David Dein MBE @ProjectTwinning who delivered a very engaging and motivational workshop to a group of young adults and men here at Feltham. He spoke about his journey in football, highlighting both his successes and his learnings to inspire personal growth 👏⚽
Actor, producer, director and recording artist @AshleyWalters82 recently visited a young offender institution to inspire young people in custody to turn their lives around.
Watch his message to young people in custody ⬇️
Every day I'm proud of my colleagues in the youth estate making a real difference that often goes unseen.
Thank you for all you do for some of the most complex, challenging and vulnerable children in the country
You might be a regular at your local 5k, but did you know @hmyoifeltham also has a weekly @parkrunUK event? 🎽

Yesterday we were delighted to visit the new @OasisRestore Secure School. 🎉🏫
The school is a new approach to custody which puts education and health at its heart, in a much smaller environment than in YOI’s. 📚❤️ It aims to be Child First and focused on children's needs. 👧👦
