On Day Three at Uganda Water and Environment Week, the conversation on transforming the WASH sector continued at the Youth Career Talk hosted by the Ministry of Water and Environment at the Wetlands Library.

Our Country Director, Dr. @joyce_magala , delivered a powerful keynote, shifting the focus from systems to people. While solutions and technologies matter, real change begins with mindset, leadership and everyday action.

Drawing from her own journey, she reminded young people that where you start does not define where you can go. What matters is the principles you build, the choices you make and the courage to act.

As climate change and environmental degradation intensify, her message was clear. The responsibility is now. Young people must step forward as problem solvers, innovators and leaders in their communities.

Because the future of water, sanitation and hygiene will not be built by systems alone. It will be shaped by people who choose to act.
