We had a fabulous geography day on Friday. Year 3 focused on France. We looked at different French phrases, learned some interesting facts about France 🇫🇷 and tasted some French baguettes with cheese and marmalade. C’est magnifique!
For world book day we dove into the world of comic books and learned all about the Investigators Mango and Brash! We read their newest adventure, made our own 'tails' and designed our own detective vests full of gadgets.
@Year3StMG@WiganLibraries Great to celebrate WBD with your fabulous Starlings - a brilliant bunch of story superstars 👍⭐️📚 Until we meet again, keep reading and always believe that anything is possible 📕💫
A huge thank you to DanWorsley for helping us celebrate #WorldBookDay and for sharing his impossible tales with the local schoolchildren who visited Marsh Green and Shevington libraries today @WiganLibraries
Captain conjecture said that you can’t use maths in other subjects! Well Year 3 Starlings proved him wrong! We looked at position and direction in geography and created fact files all about the mathematician Archimedes! To finish the day off we created our own treasure maps!
In PE we have been learning all about the Beatles and looking into different dance moves. We looked at the Boston monkey, the twist, hand jive and the hitchhiker!
For national storytelling week we entered our own worlds and designed front doors. We had to decide who lived there. We had candy doors, vampire doors and even magical animal doors! 📚🚪
