After learning about the 'Sun Queen' Maria Telkes, we made and tested out solar ovens to see how even a simple device can amplify the heat from the sun! βοΈπ‘

We have loved looking at Carol Ann Duffy's tale 'The Lost Happy Endings' this week! We have been busy making inferences, describing characters and writing persuasive letters. We even wrote alternative endings to the story (unhappy ones!) πͺπ
Yesterday afternoon, we made cup phones to explore how sound travels through different materials. This was a really fun way to learn more about our new science topic!π
We spent our maths lesson today estimating length. We even braved the cold outside to estimate the length of the playground and parts of the apparatus!π
We're really enjoying expanding our knowledge of French in Year 4. Incorporating the vocabulary into our daily timetable is helping us build confidence ππ«π·
