David Beckham is smarter than I thought but I see through this.

He implies Brooklyn has made the mistake and not him.
Showboats that he uses his platform for good works (Charity) and implied Brooklyn doesn’t, so that he (David) is the better person.

Tried to come off as measured and tolerant as if he hasn’t leaked stories against his son and as if he would be the merciful father rather than the vindictive and retaliative father with regards to Brooklyn’s ‘mistakes’ like exposing the behind the scenes control and obsession with ‘brand Beckham’.
