Good News:
S. 737 SCREEN Act - FAILED
Bad News:
S.1748 KOSA - PASSED
(The actual bill "Kids Online Safety Act" text delivers paperwork protections for platforms similar to what the UK has been doing. It will mandate new data collection on minors, and builds surveillance infrastructure and calls it child safety)
However its not law yet, the House and Senate have to come to an agreement soon on it. So there's still time to contact your Senator to stop this.
S. 737 SCREEN Act has only been delayed and isn't dead
Here is a list of all the Commerce Committee senators who will be voting on KOSA and the SCREEN Act amongst others tomorrow. We need all their phones ringing off the hook in opposition TODAY.
You have no excuse.
CALL. Even if they're not your senator.
The US is considering a new law that would make it impossible to use a phone without giving up your identity.
The FCC proposal would only give cell service to people who give their ID and other personal info to phone companies.

Does it play offline? No
Does it require a download? Yes
44.48GB on disc. Works up until the company logos, then requires an online connection to access the main menu. The type of release that undermines physical media over time.
After much thought, we have decided not to raise the price of Palworld following the 1.0 release and will keep it at $29.99.
We are incredibly proud of how far Palworld has come. Thanks to the amazing support of our players, it has become a success beyond our wildest dreams.
As a small way of saying thank you, we'll be keeping the price at $29.99.
Thank you for your continued support.

This Monday at 6:30 pm the House is voting on the KIDS Act, including KOSA.
This entire weekend and leading up to that vote, those phones need to be ringing off the hook. This is our ONE chance at stopping it in the House. Fill up those voicemails, now.

We have a little over 24 hours to save the internet. The vote is being rushed to the US House floor on Monday the 29th.
"Buried inside the KIDS Act are provisions that will push online services to verify all usersโ ages, require government-directed moderation policies for online speech, and even create new rules about private and encrypted communications." -- EFF https://t.co/4vVQcYPDct
The bill has bipartisan support and large corporate donors, who all have a vested interest in eroding your privacy and freedom of speech. Similar bills have already passed in other countries and individual states and led to ID scanning mandates, faulty AI moderation, the removal of encrypted messaging, etc.
If passed, some platforms will require ID scans from all users, some may try to deploy faulty 'estimation' technology that will randomly trigger and cause your accounts to be either permanently deleted or locked until you fork over an ID. These systems have been a disaster where deployed in other regions and led to many account losses and data breaches.
Call your reps and senators this is not a drill. We canโt let the kids act to pass, it will hurt all of us and the 1st and 4th amendments.
Call this number (202) 224-3121 and spam to reps to stop them from passing this bill.

Your government didnโt dream this up.
It received it.
Carney sat at Davos before he was PM.
He called Canada part of the "new world order."
Then called that speech meaningless.
The laws arenโt meaningless.
Theyโre arriving on schedule.
