Shame on you @OxfordChemistry Memorise the first 20 elements, the halogens and s block is a requirement for MIDDLE SCHOOLS in China. You can argue all day whether it ‘reveals the true level of understanding’. I can assure you 99% student won’t spend the saved effort on study.
