@LFCVine Sure, but depends if he in the plans of the new Manager! He did not leave because of Slot, but because Slot was looking at him as a squad player not the first eleven
🚨🚨 EXCLUSIVE: ARNE SLOT AND LIVERPOOL TO PART WAYS WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT. 💣
It’s over between the Dutch manager and Liverpool after end of the season review. 👋🏼
Andoni Iraola, clear favorite to take over as next #LFC head coach.
@markklfc You did all that you can. You made us happy and we know you never wanted to leave. Those that couldn’t increase your salary to the level you deserved long ago decided to let you go BUT spent over £500 million to buy new players earning more while you had already settled down !
If any player has the right to talk, it should be Mohamed Salah, he has always been vocal about Liverpool. He always speaks up.
In 2023/24, we finished 3rd and nobody was impressed because Liverpool’s standards are much higher than that. Salah was the one who came out, took responsibility, apologized to the fans, and promised something special next season.
Then in 2024/25, he delivered,we won the league, he won the highest goalscorer award and the highest assist award, something no Liverpool player had ever done in a
title winning season.
So yes, Salah has every right to speak cus he delivers year after year and clearly loves this club.
@WinsLFC Richard Hughes….letting go players of the EPL winning team at low fees and buying new players (very good but expensive) who took a long time to gel into the team. Slot as head coach has no final say on players bought.
Players who have liked Mo Salah’s post:
• Dominik Szoboszlai
• Florian Wirtz
• Ryan Gravenberch
• Ibrahima Konate
• Andy Robertson
• Hugo Ekitike
• Milos Kerkez
• Curtis Jones
• Jeremie Frimpong
• Wataru Endo
• Giovanni Leoni
• Harvey Elliott
• Stefan Bajcetic
• Calvin Ramsay
• Rhys Williams
Mo Salah is right, Liverpool has to rediscover the goal scoring standard set by the front three Mané-Firmino-Salah, the defence of VVD-Gomes, Matip-Lovren-TAA and the midfield of Fabinho-Henderson-Wijnaldum. You can not have like for like but the standards and love for the club
I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that.
Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it.
Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games.
Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on.
As I’ve always said, qualifying to next season’s Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen.
@mcdowell_ellie@AnfieldWatch Forgive him YES for sure, pay his £60m release clause NO, definitely NO.
Klopp buys latent talent and develops them into active shining stars
@KevBowers1@AnfieldWatch You must serve well and leave well. TAA served well but did not leave well! If just he had given notice end of previous season that he would like to leave, a replacement would have been found and he would have earned transfer fees for Liverpool. Just like McAllister for Brighton.
🚨🇸🇳🇱🇷 George Weah backs Senegal following CAF’s decision:
🗣️ “I call on CAS and the other relevant authorities to act firmly so that THIS INJUSTICE IS NOT UPHELD.” 😤
In football, the Laws of the Game are clear: the referee on the pitch is the final authority for decisions made during the match.
Once play is allowed to continue and the match is completed, the result achieved on the field must stand.
According to the applicable rules of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), match officials have full authority during the game.
CAF regulations align with FIFA’s Laws of the Game (Law 5), which state: “The referee has full authority to enforce the Laws of the Game in connection with the match to which he has been appointed, and his decisions on facts related to play are final.”
In the case of the AFCON final between Senegal and Morocco, the referee allowed the match to continue after Senegal’s withdrawal, and the game was played to its conclusion, including extra time, with a result decided on the pitch.
Furthermore, after the match, the referee’s report mentioned an interruption during the game, not a forfeit, and recommended appropriate sanctions for the infractions committed during the match.
For this reason, the CAF committee’s later decision, taken after the match had ended, should not override the authority exercised by the referee during the game in accordance with the Laws of the Game.
I would also like to take this opportunity to clarify that the posts widely circulating on social media claiming that I support the CAF disciplinary committee’s decision against Senegal are completely false.
Anyone using my image and associating it with such misleading statements is urged to refrain."
