5 Things My Hushand & I Did to Stay Pure While Courting as Single Christians

1) No sleepovers:
This was never an option for us even though a long distance relationship. My husband could travel miles to see me yet we never spent a night together. We had dates and all but no sleepovers.

2) No sexual talks:
Yes, we decided not to talk about our sexual desires etc. I cannot wait to touch you here, hold you like this, those crary talks etc,
We understood that they are unhealthy triggers.

3) Praying Daily/Bible Study
We decided to focus more on praying at-least an hour everyday and still do Bible study most of the time to encourage faith-filled conversations.

4) Personal conviction on purity
We both had our personal convictions on
purity. We were both willing to stay pure, no one was pulling the other down. We knew staying pure was unto God not just a favor for ourselves or parents.

5) We choose public spaces for meetups
For along distance relationship, emotions were on top of the root. Tell me about seeing this the man for just once or twice a year and not want a hug🥱 Okayyy this is why we met out, This helped us to talk more than we would want to touch.

Told my house surgeon to keep an eye on the less serious but quiet one.

He checked twice, vitals stable and all

Resigned and left a very honest/harsh review about a toxic place I was working at and got them Blacklisted and blocked from getting new doctors,now they’ve increased all their doctors salaries by a lott, and are treating their staffs better. Sometimes, it pays to be problematic☺️

House Officers are the first resident doctors. They are the first on call, full of energy and hope, often working tirelessly through long shifts—sometimes without even a proper meal. Yet in 2025, many of them are still unpaid for months. This is unacceptable.
In the past 20 years, Nigeria has lost over 20,000 doctors to brain drain, driven by poor welfare and inadequate infrastructure. We cannot keep repeating the same mistakes and expect different outcomes.
We kindly call on the @Fmohnigeria (Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare) to resolve this issue and continue implementing policies that will improve our health systems.
