When Aid Is Blocked, People Starve
Be the Aid They Need
Sondos Foad Abu Jundi, 24, lives with her husband and their three young children in a tent in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, where seven family members share the shelter after being displaced 14 times since May 2024. The family pays around 200 shekels for the plot of land and says they have gone long periods without receiving food aid, leaving the children malnourished. Their campaign focuses on obtaining treatment for their son, Youssef, who was injured in a bombing at the start of the genocide and developed brain atrophy. He has severe difficulty with movement and speech, lives with a chronic skin condition that causes painful crusting, and requires specialized medical care and rehabilitation. Youssef has a twin sister and a younger sister, who have also been affected by displacement and malnutrition. With limited resources and no access to the treatment he needs, Sondos hopes to raise enough support to continue his care and give him a better chance at recovery.
