i truly hate that in the big year of 2026, where people pride themselves in going beyond the radio to find artists, that bts still has such a huge stigma against them when it comes to gp perception. like sometimes this isn’t even a playlisting issue but something deeper.
and that “something deeper” is a mix of misogyny, xenophobia, and elitism. some people hear “kpop” and immediately decide it isn’t for them—even when the music they’re hearing isn’t even traditional kpop. others write em off simply because they’re non-western. and right in the middle of that venn diagram are the people who think liking the biggest group in the world somehow isn’t “cool” enough and surely if so many people (read:women) like them but not the “music critics”, as if popularity amongst regular every day women automatically makes art less worthy.
@Livheartt The green plaid goes great with the gold details and touch of plaid implies relaxed gentry with the update of modern day jeans to match the idea. Look at 1900s pictures of royalty wearing plaid shirts with a heavy hip length jackets while hunting and hiking. For reference
@y00ngipurrs That would be amazing. I would be up for it. Maybe set it up so if there's a time sometime comes up and you can't someone else in the group jumps in for that month.
@CCjo7949 If I could hug you I would. No matter what is happening we are here any time you want to check in, talk about it, or escape for a bit. Sending you so much love.
PSA:
I saw an image circulating of a particular idol wearing the U.S. Confederate flag. While I understand not everyone knows every country’s history, please know this is not just an “American” symbol.
For ARMYs outside the U.S. who may be learning this for the first time: please do not wear, share, or defend this symbol simply because an idol was seen wearing it. Understanding the history behind it matters.
The Confederate flag is widely associated with slavery, racism, segregation, white supremacy, and hatred. For many people, especially Black Americans, it is not viewed as “heritage” or regional pride, but as a reminder of severe oppression, discrimination, and violence.
To put it in perspective: the way the Hakenkreuz (‘swastika’ as some people call it) represents Nazi Germany and antisemitic hate, the Confederate flag carries that kind of weight in the U.S. It is deeply harmful imagery.
This is not about attacking someone. It is about understanding the weight of a symbol before wearing, sharing, or defending it.
@ashanpan This is my 2nd account and it's almost 15yo. I've been around since early days but lost 1st account when I lost access to the email it was connected to. When I started falling down the BTS rabbit hole I decided to just use this acct. Didn't want to manage going between 2 accts.
@outrotearjin This is my second Twitter account. I've been on Twitter since early days so before BTS. When I fell down the rabbit hole I decided not to start another account cause I didn't want to manage going between multiple accounts.
They're going to be successful no matter what because their work speaks for itself. Great music and great fan support. Our job as fans is to keep supporting it. Keep promoting the album, keep streaming it. We follow their lead, so let's not hyper-focus on something they're not hyper-focused on. Producers are doing their own interviews, so let them. Just share those interviews.
We're not supposed to be tagging anyone or making that show the motivation for everything we do—especially when it has the potential to backfire. Let's not do something that could hinder anything for them.
Just keep supporting the whole album—keep streaming and keep swimming.
the reason we shouldn't relax and let their chart performance drop now is because of namjoon's words. the members see and follow every success we give them. i don't think it would be motivating for them if armys started letting their hard work fall to a weak position on the charts after only three months.
@CCjo7949 Holding you in my thoughts and heart today. That time between when knowing what each outcome can mean and having the answer feels so heavy with anxiety and fear. When it's trying to take over reach out. We'll be here to give love and support. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
@BorahaeArts I give myself small chunks. Clean as much of a room/area as I can in 45 min (arirang + come over). Rest, do something else for a bit. Then finish or move to next room. Since I hate floors I always leave those to last after everything else is done.
@kthnoir7 I first heard "I hate metaphors" as him struggling to find words for what he's trying to say and hating that he ends up using metaphors (similes) yet still feels like he's not getting across what he wants to say. It's beautiful finding all the different interpretations
You can see from the jump Jimin & Tae had 2nd place. Hobi fell a little behind to 3rd. JK pulled past & had enough distance to slow down before crossing the finish line. Yet the MCs didn't acknowledge them until the very end when JK put on that burst of speed. 🤨
this race is the perfect representation of bangtan's success. the MCs didnt even mention the boys until they won. just like how bts was ignored by kmedia and the music industry until they became too big to ignore
