Or maybe have some pride in representing your company as the top lad.
When I held any IWGP championship I wanted to travel the world calling out the best to show them all New Japan is the better.
Obviously his home market is Japan & he has done great job in the top spot to me this screams “ insecure”
The roster clearly isn’t as driven as the guys I was once surrounded by.
Just big belly boys wanting to keep playing “Free Play”
Grow a sack, fill it with some nuts, call out the BITW & show the world how good New Japan is….
Just my thoughts.
Yet 10 years on people still talk about the ricochet match.
I still get tagged in the Ibushi rana spot
First British person to ever win the IWGP title
Had Assassins Creed rehire Ezio to narrate me to Wembley
And if you can’t remember any of the matches is because people barely remember what happened last week let alone 14 years of consistently being on top my field without ever being promoted by anything from the Fed.
Mask vs mask was fucking awesome, won’t take anything away from it but I’m in my own lane never trying to compete with anyone but myself.
But continue the conversation, I’ll keep myself busy making towns
Dave Meltzer on Chad Gable following the El Grande Americano mask vs mask match at AAA Noche de los Grandes:
"There's probably nobody who is as good potentially as Chad Gable who has had less done with him.
"He's 40 years old, he had this incredible match, he could be doing this with 30 different guys, he's that great. He hasn't, because they have never put him in a position to have a 30 minute match on a pay-per-view.
"He's had a nice career, he's made a lot of money, but he's never been pushed at the level of that ability. The guy can do it all, he can talk, incredible in the ring, and this was the best match of his career."
(Wrestling Observer Radio)
Bryan: "I thought it was probably the best AEW PPV I've ever seen."
Dave: "They do the best big shows I've ever seen on a consistent basis. There's a lot more moments I get scared on AEW shows than anybody else as far as the talent going too far but this was a great show, great booking, great wrestling matches and one of the best crowds they ever had."

MJF BURIES Malakai/Alesiter Black, calls him a mark and says he’s the biggest offender of “using AEW as a stepping stone to go back to WWE” says people like him leaving is the reason for AEW’s current camaraderie and success😭
(The MMA Hour)
Aleister Black didn't wanna take pins in AEW cause he thought he was too good.
He returned to WWE on April 25, 2025. Lost most of his matches. Didn't win a single title. Didn't wrestle on any PLEs.
Today, he got released.
Let this be a lesson to everyone that the grass is not greener.
