The Yolo County Elections Office received 1,330 official vote-by-mail ballots from voters who live throughout California. These ballots were deposited at Yolo County official Ballot Drop Boxes and Vote Centers.

The manual tally process validates the totaling of ballots generated by the electronic voting equipment before certifying election results. For each race not included in the one percent manual tally, an additional voting precinct with that contest will be tallied.

- On Election Day, BDB Retrieval Teams will be at all BDB locations to secure the BDB at the close of polls at 8 pm.
Any voter waiting in line to deposit a VBM ballot will be able to drop off their ballot.
Ballot Drop Box Retrieval Procedures:
- At least two Yolo County Ballot Drop Box Retrieval Team members collect the ballots from the official BDBs on a mandated schedule using a documented chain-of-custody procedure.

Before depositing the ballot, ensure the Vote by Mail envelope is signed and dated by the voter. If you are returning a ballot on behalf of another voter, the authorized individual delivering the ballot must also complete and sign the designated section on the envelopes.
