I am sorry to see that despite years of talk, gender inequality is on full display at the #UNGA General Debate.
Less than 10% of speakers this week are women.
This is unacceptable – especially when we know gender equality delivers for peace, climate action and much more.
Your Excellency Dr. @MekdesDaba ,
Congratulations on your appointment as the Minister of Health. Wishing you a successful tenure, I take this opportunity to express my sincere confidence you will discharge this tremendous responsibility with diligence, competence, & compassion.
Grace: smoothness and elegance of movement. Grace and permission are beautiful gifts we can give ourselves. I am called in this season to give myself grace and permission. Permission to be a beginner and to be alright with that.
Wow. This quote from Jacinda Ardern’s resignation: ‘Hope I leave New Zealanders with a belief that you can be kind but strong, empathetic but decisive, optimistic but focused...that you can be your own kind of leader, one who knows when it’s time to go’..
Thanks to @YomiAbiola for asking these pertinent questions. I shall try sometime soon to put together some answers to our questions and others on this important subject. #MandelaDay
