Another game marked as a sell out today, yet there seemed to be quite a few empty seats around the ground. Anyone know why? #ycfc

@sameoldcitypod Drop off obvious

@CalYCFC *checks notes* Drinan was also L2 player of the year for last season

[YO Minstermen @YOMinsterMen]

@CalYCFC Hard not to agree. Fantastic on Saturday. First game back and 28 goal (last season) man, Aaron Drinan didn’t get a sniff

[YO Minstermen @YOMinsterMen]

@sameoldcitypod @tom_poole87 Another fantastic title! Do you think you have a whole season worth of these in you? 😂

Main takeaways from today.
- All the lads were absolutely fantastic today.
- I really did expect more from Swindon, they were woeful.
- Having Johnson back was massive, he was a rock today.
- Home is now a fortress 💪

Sutton United are closing in on the signing of York City defender Ben Brookes. #sutton #YCFC

[YO Minstermen @YOMinsterMen]

Football can be brutal, but Harry Boyes has raised the bar.
Brookes always came across as a great lad. If he does move on, he will leave City as a champion and will be a fantastic addition to any top NL side. #ycfc

[Pete O'Rourke @SportsPeteO]

York City defender Ben Brookes is a target for multiple top end National League clubs. #YCFC

@TS_Minstermen Well summarised 👌

First league defeat of the season. A tough night against a gritty Cheltenham side.
Can’t help but feel we gifted them all 3 goals. The search for that elusive clean sheet goes on.
Onto the next one. #ycfc

Shelton linked with a move to Grimsby after only just signing doesn’t look great.
Raises questions over the recruitment process too. If he’s already being loaned out, why was he signed in the first place? #ycfc

[BBC Sport North Yorkshire @BBCYorkSport]

Is Mark Shelton about to swap York City for Grimsby Town? 🤔

Manager Scott Lindsey discusses the midfielder’s future and potential incomings for the club.
