@seerymk Hey Prof Seery, I'd like to ask for your opinion on a service I'm looking to start (hope you don't mind the product validation!) - the idea is a service to generate open-ended questions for teachers and to facilitate students' discussions - what are your thoughts?
@JuliaEckhard Would like to seek your opinion (please don't mind the obvious product validation here), as a #ChemEdu researcher! I'm in the process of creating a web service to generate open-ended questions for teachers and to facilitate students' discussions - your thoughts?
@drainpipe_@VittoStack@jack But I'm always reminded of this quote: “Pessimists sound smart, optimists make money” I think there's a lot of problems and benefits in crypto, and it will have its place in society, I'm not gonna rejecting the entire notion of crypto just cause a new tech has its problems
@drainpipe_@VittoStack@jack I think you make great points here, but from what I see the whole blockchain vs non-blockchain thing is so binary, either it's the solution to the world, or it's another money laundering scheme. I think there is a lot of value to it, but there's a fair bit of empty hype as well
@ImZackAdams @jacobperez915 Ah, but that is the point, isn't it? Noobs can use noob tools to do noob stuff, but it takes a true pro to add value, create, and elevate these noob tools to make pro stuff
@MsPhanLearns Oh, question-writing is great, the even better part is when students write questions for EACH OTHER, and often some students use their creativity (and sadism) to create really challenging & interesting questions that gets everyone talking about it
@MsPhanLearns Starting with the 'wrong answers' is a great, and really interesting approach to tackle this! We've @chemFunMan mainly been trying to tackle this via anonymity, etc., and maybe we could use some meta-divergent thinking too, haha
@PHoare1963 I'd like to seek your opinion on an idea, as an educator - I'm looking to start a service to generate open-ended questions for teachers and to facilitate students' discussions (spectro elucidation is an easy target for now), what are your thoughts?
@GeorginaSauzier I'd like your opinion on an idea I'm exploring: procedurally generating open-ended questions to help teachers, and for student discussion (easy target for now is spectro elucidation) - what are your thoughts?
Very excited to share how COVID-19 disrupted our "flipped" classroom model for our freshmen organic chemistry module, and how @chemFunMan and the team at @NUSingapore adapted to these challenges for the students. #RSCPoster#RSCEdu
@ChemProfRenee That's really amazing! The CYOA storyline looks pretty complex though, with lots of branching paths. I'm wondering how long it took to set up the entire adventure?
So thrilled to participate in #RSCPoster! We have an Augmented Reality Mobile App to interact with molecules in a reaction, developed by @chemFunMan and team at @NUSingapore! Published in JCE, #RSCPosterLive#RSCEdu @tepanacachem🇸🇬📱🧪
