A lot of people hide behind. "I don't owe anyone anything." But if you hurt someone, you owe them an apology. If you disrespected someone, then you owe them accountability. And if someone has helped and supported you, you owe them your gratitude and appreciation.
Before you argue with someone, ask yourself, is that person even mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of different perspectives? Because if not, there's absolutely no point.
Give. But don't allow yourself to be used. Love. But don't allow your heart to be abused. Trust. But don't be naive. Listen. But don't lose your own voice.
This year changed my entire understanding of life, like the true meaning of love, friendship, and family; and I don't think l could ever go back to who I was.
Itβs only one way to impress me, and thatβs by being a good person. I donβt care what you have, where you live, what you drive or what you wear. I love good-hearted people.
My secret is I do what works for me. I donβt bother a soul, I donβt compare, I donβt copy, I donβt watch & I could care less about oneβs perception of me. I genuinely support others until I conclude youβre not deserving. Iβm always in my own lane. Riding my own wave.
Being an "understanding person" is the worst kind of thing. I repeat, worst. You have to understand people's situations, their problems, their traumas. But when it comes to you, you will scream alone. Absolutely alone.
