@Prio_0730@khalidmghams What does food have to do with respect? How does asking for halal food mean disrespecting Japanese culture?
You’re giving me a headache with this argument
@Prio_0730@khalidmghams Following the law is one thing mocking a religion is another Muslims aren’t asking Japanese people to eat halal food so the pork comparison is irrelevant 😭 If you expect respect for Japanese customs abroad, give others the same respect in Japan
@momomotintin@d2bel4 I never said anyone should be above the law because of their religion. My point is that following the law and respecting people’s religious beliefs are two different things. You can disagree with someone without mocking their religion or humiliating them for it
@d2bel4 A Japanese woman filmed a Kuwaiti woman while she was in Japan and posted it online to make fun of her for the way she dresses. Imagine being mocked just for practicing your religion and wearing what you believe in. How is that any different from disrespecting someone’s beliefs?
@d2bel4 but that doesn’t give you the right to ridicule them. Imagine if people mocked your beliefs the same way. Respect should be mutual, even when we don’t share the same religion
@d2bel4 I’m not talking about Japan’s burial rules. I’m talking about people who mock Islam and make fun of Muslims for practicing their religion. There’s a difference between disagreeing with a religion and disrespecting it. You don’t have to agree with someone’s beliefs
