🇻🇪We waited because geopolitics demands reflection not instant reactions. Our hope is for a democratic future for Venezuelans, especially youth. Methods matter: undermining international law endangers global order. Europe must speak with one voice: we need United States of Europe
Congratulations to @MariaCorinaYA on receiving the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize. 🕊️
Your courage and dedication to democracy and human rights in Venezuela inspire us all.
Felicitaciones a @MariaCorinaYA por su merecida nominación al Nobel de la Paz. Su lucha por una #Venezuela libre y democrática demuestra que el coraje cívico puede desafiar la opresión y abrir caminos de esperanza para todo un continente.
Mental health matters for everyone, everywhere. 🧡
We believe a democratic Europe must care for the well-being of all its citizens.
Let’s break the stigma, talk openly, and support each other today and every other day.
At the @MoDem Fall University in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, we presented the YDE Housing Report to MEP @MariePierreV , outlining our proposals for fairer and more sustainable housing policies in Europe.
For three days, Île-sur-la-Sorgue becomes the beating heart of European politics. Together with our French member party Mouvement Démocrate, the EDP gathers leading voices to debate the future of Europe: from democracy and rights to innovation and global challenges. Our President François Bayrou, Secretary General Sandro Gozi and our French MEPs will be there — and so can you, live on our YouTube channel and social media.
Yesterday in Belgrade, Vučić @avucic staged a military parade surrounded by delegations from Russia, China and the Arab world. His message is clear: invest in weapons, flaunt military might, play geopolitics on multiple fronts. Meanwhile, democracy, the rule of law and fundamental freedoms are eroded by corruption and the repression of students who dare to protest. The EU accession process is kept artificially alive while authoritarian drift becomes reality. The sooner Europe takes note, the better—for our security and for our values.
#Peace is more than the absence of war. It’s the presence of justice, respect, and unity. Today, let’s commit to building a world where everyone feels safe, heard, and valued.
🇷🇸 Today in Serbia, a young student, Bogdan Jovičić, is treated not as a voice of conscience, but as a dangerous criminal. Vaguely accused of taking part in the August protests and denied the right to a proper defence, he sees the doors of justice closing before him: his detention has been extended for another 30 days, not because of guilt, but out of fear of his courage — the same courage that led him to start a hunger strike.
Look at the photograph: chains on his legs, three policemen at his side. This is how he was taken to his father’s funeral — not as a grieving son, but as a man stripped of his dignity. And yet, throughout his detention, his conduct has been irreproachable.
On the sixth day of his hunger strike, Bogdan’s frail body speaks louder than any words: of repression, of injustice, and of the deep wound inflicted on democracy.
This scene does not belong in Europe, but in the shadows we thought we had left behind.
Our Secretary General, Sandro Gozi, will be in Belgrade on Thursday and Friday on behalf of Bogdan and the students who remain unjustly detained. On Thursday at 5 p.m., at the House of Europe in Belgrade, he will take part in a public event where the students themselves will also speak.
💭 Have you ever daydreamed about the perfect home?

🇺🇦 For over 30 years, Ukraine has stood as a free and sovereign nation. In recent years, Ukrainians have shown extraordinary courage in defending their independence, democracy & European future.
💙💛 YDE stands firmly in solidarity with Ukraine. Your strength inspires us all.
Red carpets are for scientists who push knowledge forward, for teachers who shape generations, for doctors and rescuers who save lives. Not for a war criminal. Yet in Alaska, Trump chose to celebrate Putin as if velvet could cover bloodstains. A red carpet doesn’t erase crimes — it only shows who’s willing to applaud them.
