@sondesix Sooo.... the different appears to be a auto-contrast setting on the iphone. Which does admittedly take 1 step out, but that's sort of Apple's whole approach: they streamline their products to do one thing very well, but you lose flexibility as the cost.
@Etsy went ahead and took down some of my products that weren't violating any rules. So I put my shop on hiatus and stopped paying them. Then, they wouldn't let me SHOP on etsy when I was logged in. So check to see if your favorites have off-etsy shopfronts. Because f*ck Etsy.
This is the FOURTH time I've cut out huge swaths of story and moved them to the next installment for the sake of "brevity". Bright side is that once I FINISH editing volume 1, volumes 2 and 3 are already drafted.
Reorganizing my novel for the ??th time and it needed to be done to get a full story arc in under 90k words, but.... damn. Also, shit I wrote 2-9 years ago is still holding up, so that's pretty good. Maybe someday I'll even let people read it (other than my 4 betas whom I ๐).
@awakedragon Way late to this party, but, having read your book: if they pass it over, they've either got the next megahit competing with you, or they aren't paying attention. Jagged Emerald City is excellent.
@kkbaron8 @deidrejowen I lucked out on photosensitivity, and my hearing is only slightly better than most people's, though I have a hell of a time focusing on one sound when there are a lot of them, and too much sound can cause a panic attack (ADHD is not a superpower, but functioning with it is).
@CHill999K @deidrejowen That explains why they smell 'spicy', which is not actually a flavor, but minor damage to your taste buds. Apparently, the term I'm looking for is "mildly caustic".
@kkbaron8 @deidrejowen I was gonna say, as someone who also can smell ALL THE THINGS, it's um.... not always awesome. Because there's not turning it off. If I'm outside in the city, any city, there is always a faint miasma of garbage, car exhaust, and waste underlying everything.
@brimorganbooks I like todoist BUT it is not necessarily great for supplementing executive function. It does help me remember all the things I forgot I meant to do and easily reschedule them so they might actually get done in the mear future, though.
The depression has lifted enough to allow me to write again (It's been 8 months.) AND I figured out where I could,in fact, add a scene to cut my story, not exactly in half, but WAY back from 135k words to 82k words!!!
Gaiz, it actually might become a viable novel!
