It is a great shame that this fabulous resource is under threat. Generations of local children have learned about livestock, food and landscape, and how they are interconnected, at Doonies.

All British M&M ponies are suited to wet weather. They have had centuries of adapting to it. There has been human selection too - but nature has always played a part in M&M breeds. They needed to work some marginal places where high quality food/shelter wasn’t available #gonative
