I just LOVE getting a response from a candidate saying we spammed them and that we would never be interesting enough to be considered. Ummmm. You applied to the job.
So next time when meeting someone new, don’t ask what they do for a living - that’s you putting their worth tied to their job. Ask them about a random fun fact they know or any new shows they watch. Get to know the whole person and not just what job title they have.
My #1 favorite #hr lesson from @Disney’s @EncantoMovie is that we are not our jobs. At the end of the movie and at the end of the day we see that the #Encanto family are more than their gifts just like each of us is more than our jobs or job titles.
HR now more than ever is in the position to help leaders see that we are whole and can still exceed business goals showing up as a whole person. #hrcommunity#employeeexperience
@HR_Hour One that I am working on is the intersection of neuroscience, psychology, and the workplace coming together and how we are fundamentally able to create environments of where humans can thrive in the workplace.
Honorable reader, how can we not compare #Bridgerton actor #jonathanbailey to the micromanager that cares about #duty and #service to the deadlines and company while fellow actors #claudiajessie & #simoneashley are our creative team members wanting more than just the norm.
Esteemed reader, can we not see @nicolacoughlan’s character, Penelope, playing the role of receptionist or executive assistant - knowing all the gossip, in-betweens, and scandals. Keeping the treasure of knowledge circulating without ties to her person?
Are you ready for the biggest #HRCommunity trend for #2022Goals? Everything we know about people in the workplace will shift this year. Take a listen-

@selfientdavid Absolutely. We need remember that work is not everything and that most people just work to live and not live to work. I hate this illusion some recruiters have that we have to be cult followers of a company in order to qualify.
👏🏻Stop. 👏🏻Asking. 👏🏻Why. 👏🏻People. 👏🏻Are. 👏🏻Looking. 👏🏻For. 👏🏻A. 👏🏻Job. It’s for more money or leaving a toxic boss but there is no good way to say it in an interview so leave it out of your questions. #recruiting101#hrcommunity#Manager#GreatResignation
