@Karadowd@Jill4allMoCo Stop w/ TPT paras. Make them permanent employees w/ benefits. Offer permanent floater sub positions, give them benefits. We will always need them.
@Jill4allMoCo Start with paying for a 50 hr work week @ a MINIMUM. Stop pretending that this is a 40 hr job w/ 8 hr day. Most new T's are career changers. No one's looking at retirement age unless you significantly change it, like to 20 yrs. That'd be a perk! Pay & parental leave = priority

@MSEAeducators Right now, a shadowing experience is required (and expensive) to become certified as a virtual teacher in MD. Is there any advocating we can do to get that waved if we still take the CPD class offered by the state?
@JackDiamondShow No way, people should not take pay cuts to reimagine how their jobs can be done & work from home. Instead of putting it on the employee, the pressure should be on the employer to be open to some creative changes! Happier employees = more productivity = more $$.
I feel a little guilty saying this, but I think undergrad colleges should wait several years (maybe 5) before asking their alum for money. The first several (maybe 5) years should focus on inviting them to participate in other things and keeping them involved, but not donating.
