A NEW CHAPTER FOR DIGITAL CAPACITY BUILDING

The Young Quantity Surveyors Forum (YQSF), is pleased to announce the formalization of a Strategic Partnership with Brainbox Notion, a digital learning platform focused on Quantity Surveying, BIM, construction technology, and professional development.

The partnership represents a significant step in the Forum’s commitment to equipping young Quantity Surveyors with the digital skills, technological competence, and global exposure required to remain competitive in an increasingly technology-driven construction industry.

Through this partnership, YQSF and Brainbox Notion will collaborate on a structured Digital Quantity Surveying & Construction Technology Programme, designed to progressively develop practical competencies in digital measurement, construction planning, artificial intelligence, BIM, digital construction, and international Quantity Surveying practice.

• 3D BIM Quantity Take-off
• Plan Reading & Measurement Techniques
• BOQ Preparation & Measurement Automation
• Data Export & Reporting

🔹 Q4 2026 — Digital Planning & 4D Construction
Theme: From Drawings to 4D Construction Simulation
Software / Tools: Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Synchro 4D
Delivery: Hybrid — Physical & Virtual

Core Learning Areas:
• Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
• Project Scheduling & Sequencing
• Resource Planning & Allocation
• Construction Planning & Monitoring
• Delay Analysis
• 4D Construction Simulation

🔹 Q1 2027 — AI & Digital Construction Innovation
Theme: The Future of Quantity Surveying
Software / Tools: AI Tools, Power BI, BIM 5D
Delivery: Hybrid — Physical & Virtual

Theme: Working as a Quantity Surveyor in the UK, USA & Middle East
Software / Tools: NRM, SMM7, CSI MasterFormat, POMI, RSMeans
Delivery: Hybrid — Physical & Virtual

• International Measurement Standards
• International BOQ Preparation
• RSMeans Cost Database
• International Tender Documentation
• Remote Estimating & Freelancing
• Global Quantity Surveying Practice

PROGRESSIVE DIGITAL CERTIFICATION

To encourage sustained participation and continuous professional development, participants will progress through a structured certification pathway:

🥉 Bronze Digital QS — Complete Quarter 1

🥈 Silver Digital QS — Complete Quarters 1 & 2

🥇 Gold Digital QS — Complete Quarters 1–3

🏆 Professional Digital Construction Specialist — Complete all four quarters and the final Capstone Project.

This progressive framework provides participants with clear milestones while encouraging continuous engagement throughout the programme.

The partnership goes beyond software training. It represents a shared commitment to building digital competence, strengthening professional capacity, promoting innovation, and preparing young Quantity Surveyors for the future of the construction industry.
