I have empathy for trans people, but i think that the phrase "male socialisation" is just not understood correctly at all. It's not that you were socialised as a man, therefore you are a man, no. You were socialised as a man because you were "supposed" to be one.
I don’t think “male socialization” in itself is a terrible concept, the problem lies in the fact that trans women are very much socialized as an other and often face violence for it under a structure that seeks to reinforce patriarchy
Being perceived as a man, and also being punished for not being "man enough" are not mutually exclusive. In my eyes, it is not a stretch to say that an adult transwoman who has moved through the majority of her life being perceived as a man has more to unpack about misogyny
