Want to work and get paid in Web3?
Maybe even on a full-time basis?
Here's what the Job progression looks like in Web3 and some tips on how you can land your first job & eventually progress towards a full-time income.
π
Everyone discovers Web3 differently, whether it's from Social Media, Word of Mouth, or even from your current line of work.
But that's not important, as everyone starts from the same stepping stone. Below gives you an idea of the job progression ladder in Web3 (can vary for everyone).
Step 1. (Immersing yourself into Web3)
- WL grinder (chatter, artworks etc)
- Active Community member (of projects)
*It's important to make yourself stand out in this phase, differentiate yourself, and find ways to provide value to the project*.
Step 2. (Start reaching out & offering help/begin building a foundation)
- Discord Moderator
- Community Manager
*Your effort in step 1 could help you land your first position. These roles can often be unpaid, but if you don't have any work experience, these can be valuable to your Web3 resume*.
Step 3. (Network & Experience building)
- Collab manager (Especially on the outreaching side)
*Collab management is one of the best ways to build out your network and understand how marketing works in Web3. Make sure to professionally set up your profiles as this is also where you begin building an audience*.
Step 4. (Your network/experience should help you advance into bigger roles)
- Marketing roles
- Core Team member
- Content creation (whether it's for the project or yourself)
*This is where you build up the key players on your Web3 resume, what you achieve here is what determines how far you will progress in Web3*
Step 5. (Conquering Web3)
- Founder of your own Web3 company/business
We are past the days of the 2021/early 2022 bull run cycle, so don't expect to be reliant on flipping NFTs for a stable income nor immediately expect to achieve 10k/Month. Like any other industry, put in the work, be persistent, and the rest sorts itself out.
Surgence is actively replacing its team with AI.
If something can be done by AI, it should be done by AI.
No exceptions.
Here's how @surgence_io is doing what 90% of agencies are too scared to talk about ππ
Now that I have your attention.
No one is being fired, and Surgence is not downsizing.
But we are eliminating every workflow, process, and task that doesn't require a human brain.
Because if AI can handle it, a human shouldn't be wasting time on it.
"AI is coming for your job."
"AI will make you redundant".
You've heard these sayings a million times by now, from your everyday bloke to CEO's. The message is the same, and chances are, it's true.
So if something is "inevitable", why try to delay it?
Why not accelerate and capitalize on it?
Reporting that used to take hours?
β’ Automate it.
Data research across 6 different platforms?
β’ Automate & Consolidate it.
Internal operations, external delivery, team-facing workflows, and client-facing delivery.
Everything is being rebuilt with AI efficiency at the center.
But this part is worth emphasizing.
Replacing tasks doesn't mean replacing people. It means unlocking them to their full potential.
When you strip the mindless labor, your team finally has time for what actually moves the needle.
β’ Strategy, creative thinking, and Innovation.
Every week/2 weeks. Surgence runs mandatory AI onboarding and workshopping sessions across the entire team.
Department-specific and hands-on.
If your team is relying on its members to figure out AI by themselves. The gap is forming, and it's getting bigger every week.
Surgence has always maintained its lead as a growth accelerator in Web3 by being the first to every trend.
Not just for clients, but also internally.
Every narrative shift and every attention cycle.
You move fast. You stay alive.
