See this terrific forest land, once lush and alive, now turned into a desert by poppy planters.
Many people did not believe our government when we warned that the deadly drug corridor, the so called Golden Triangle, was expanding towards India through Manipur. Vast stretches of forest had already begun to disappear under mass poppy cultivation, yet these warnings were often ignored.
Today, the truth is visible to everyone.
The present government, along with the @adgpi, @official_dgar, @crpfindia, @BSF_India, @narcoticsbureau, @manipur_police and all other concerned authorities, is doing commendable work by destroying poppy fields across multiple regions every single day. Their coordinated effort deserves full appreciation. But the challenge is still enormous. Certain areas, like the one shown in this video, require huge manpower and month long campaigns to eradicate poppy cultivation permanently.
An aerial survey conducted on 24 November 2025 detected close to seven hundred acres of poppy cultivation in the Makhan Village hill ranges under the jurisdiction of Sapormeina Police Station in Kangpokpi District. This entire zone lies within the Kanglatongbi Kangpokpi Reserved Forest. It is also close to Mount Koubru, a sacred site deeply revered by the Indigenous people as a holy pilgrimage site.
The scale of destruction of our forests and the threat to our cultural heritage is real. This is why continued, intensified action is absolutely necessary.

Manipur's territorial integrity is a historical fact, rooted in documented treaties and agreements that affirm its sovereignty. The Treaty of Yandaboo in 1826, signed between the British Empire and the Burmese, formally recognized Manipur's borders. Following the British conquest in 1891, the state's boundaries remained intact until 1947.
From 1947 to 1949, Manipur operated as an autonomous constitutional monarchy before merging with the Dominion of India through the Merger Agreement, executed between the Government of India and the Maharaja of Manipur on September 21, 1949, and effective from October 15, 1949.
The Government of India further safeguarded Manipur's political entity by designating it a Part 'C' State, later a Union Territory in 1957. Full statehood was granted in 1972 under the North-Eastern Areas (Reorganisation) Act, 1971, with its territorial boundaries enshrined in the First Schedule of the Constitution of India.
This legacy, endorsed by British diplomacy, Indian constitutional provisions, and acknowledgments from neighboring states such as Myanmar, forms an unassailable foundation.
We take profound pride in this recorded history, which renders Manipur as indestructible as the annals that define it. Attempts to question or alter this history are futile against the weight of irrefutable evidence.
Thus, Manipur's territorial integrity and political entity, which is grounded in international treaties and the 1949 Merger Agreement, are non-negotiable and impervious to any political revision or constitutional amendment.

This is the level of almost all Bihar Police officers!
I hope action is taken against this ill-mannered police officer seen in the video.
@bihar_police urgently needs separate training in civic sense & behavioural science.
The video is from the Kacchi Dargah 6-lane bridge, which connects Patna to Tejashwi’s Raghopur.
