"I facilitated the first meeting of Rabiu Kwankwaso And Bola Tinubu for Kwankwaso to become a Minister under this administration."
—Rep. Aliyu Sani Madakin Gini
In 2023, at the Aso Rock Villa, Kwankwaso openly praised President Bola Tinubu, predicted a possible alliance, and admitted he had met him in Paris.
1. Why would a serious presidential contender lobby to be appointed a minister under the same administration he claims to oppose?
2. Why should Kwankwaso expect any reward from Tinubu if he didn't work for him, just like Wike did?
3. ADC was right to accuse Kwankwaso of quietly working for Tinubu to sabotage Atiku. The evidence is simply too strong to ignore.
4. Kwankwaso should have the courage to publicly support Tinubu, instead of playing both sides.
5. Nigerians must not allow Peter Obi and Kwankwaso to distract them. The priority remains unseating Bola Tinubu by rallying solidly behind Atiku.
Nigerians Will Pay Fuel Tax When The Economy Becomes Stable — Minister of Finance, Taiwo Oyedele
Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, has said the Federal Government will introduce fuel taxes when the economy stabilises and citizens’ incomes can accommodate the extra costs.
He disclosed this in an interview with ARISE News on the sidelines of the 2026 IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings in Bangkok, Thailand, explaining that the government would first consolidate its economic reforms, restore growth and improve household earnings.
Oyedele said imposing additional levies immediately after petrol subsidy removal would have worsened Nigerians’ hardship.
“You remove subsidy, you can’t immediately impose taxes. That would be insensitive. You push the people to the wall,” he said.
The minister noted that fuel taxes account for between 20 and 80 per cent of petroleum prices in some countries, while several African nations impose multiple levies on fuel products.
He said the proposed revenue would support infrastructure and help the country prepare for future disruptions in fuel supply.
“Not because we want to impose taxes, it will be because those amounts of taxes will be dedicated into road infrastructure, they’ll be dedicated into building our fuel reserve, that can help us moderate prices of fuel products, if anything happens,” he explained.
According to Oyedele, the arrangement could also allow the government to suspend the levies temporarily when necessary to cushion the effects of market shocks.
“This is what more than 50 countries around the world, they were reducing the taxes, but we had no taxes, there was nothing to reduce,” he added.
“There has to be an order published in the gazette by the finance minister, which means we can’t do it in secret,” he said.
Oyedele maintained that the taxes would only be introduced when economic conditions improved sufficiently and Nigerians could understand the reasons for the policy and its expected benefits.
More than 20 Obidients are in my dm now, begging me to stop criticizing Obi and support the man.
I said! I can't support a liar.
My support is for Atiku.
I will start sending screenshots soon.
Yar’Adua and Buhari - North-West govern for 10 years plus and you, Kwankwaso from the same geopolitical zone as the former presidents want to contest in 2031. This shows how selfish you are.
Atiku Abubakar will ensure geopolitical zoning is enshrined in the constitution so that people like you who want to marginalize the North-East and North-Central will be retired.
Tinubu’s foreign loans

Atiku unveils police welfare plan, says he will clear pension arrears if elected
Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has unveiled a police welfare plan aimed at improving salaries, settling pension arrears, and providing healthcare for serving and retired police officers if elected president in 2027.
In a statement issued on Sunday by Phrank Shaibu, director of strategic communication of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential campaign council, Atiku said his proposed “Police Dignity Guarantee Plan” would address longstanding challenges affecting police welfare.
He also demanded an immediate explanation over the status of the Police Exit Bill and called for an urgent review of police salaries following the pay increase approved for members of the armed forces.

There is a new tax law that requires 25% of your earnings as tax, whose implementation is being delayed until after the election.
There is also a pending plan to remove electricity subsidies immediately after the election, a move that could potentially triple the current electricity tariff.
Your salaries will remain the same, but the cost of almost everything will continue to rise. People are already struggling to survive. Even a bachelor earning 500k monthly is struggling to keep up with the cost of living.
Now imagine what happens when these two policies come into effect.
LOL 😂
May God help Nigeria and Nigerians.
Well done Senator Ireti Kingibe for exposing the passed tax law that will force Nigerians to pay 25% of their earnings if Tinubu wins in 2027.
The opposition must go everywhere and tell the people, in their own language, how this tax and the electricity subsidy removal will worsen their hardship.
The detention of Nasir Elrufai should be a lesson to all this northern politicians following Tinubu.
He will deal with you especially with plans to handover power to a Kwara Yoruba in 2031.
The minimum wage in France is €1,867.02, about 3million naira. Which means a basic warehouse job can sustain you. But the French are still protesting for better life.
In Nigeria, monthly minimum wage cannot feed you for three days, people are being murdered on daily basis. No basic healthcare, no standard education, fake drugs, fake drinks, fake products everywhere. Children are sitting on the bare floor in classes with no roofing. Yet we act like everything is fine. Our major concern since the 90s is still whether an Igbo Yoruba or Hausa becomes President.
Anyone who reads this post carefully will understand that the ADC was right. You leave the ruling party that's making life hard for Nigerians to attack Atiku @atiku and the ADC. Kwankwaso is Tinubu's political contractor, just like Doyin Okupe in 2023.
You are always attacking Atiku instead of campaigning against Tinubu APC but ADC should not call your hypocrisy abi?
You can deceive Obidients to be with them in this campaign, but you can't deceive Technocrats, APC Kwankwaso..
We are familiar with your game
Kwankwaso and even NDC saying they won't withdraw is actually good for the ADC , the reality is the presence of NDC in the race is advantageous to the ADC especially in the south.
Personally I want NDC to win SS and SE, all we care for there is 25% here and there in the south.
A Governor who swept off a sitting President's footprints after a Kano visit on Tuesday April 15, 2014, certainly doesn't deserve any support as a vice-presidential candidate or Presidential candidate. If it were his supporters who did this, it would be better for him to carry out this action and post it on his Facebook page, According to Premium Times, “the governor’s actions on Tuesday are seen as a cultural and political message meant to emphasise his disdain for the president”.
Sen. Henry Seriake Dickson and every GEJITES shame on you for supporting such a man who did this to Jonathan.🤮🤮
