Let’s be honest and clear: there is no region officially called “Middle Belt” in Nigeria. It doesn’t exist in the Constitution. It doesn’t exist in the six geopolitical zones. It is simply a name created out of emotion, not structure.

Some people use “Middle Belt” to avoid identifying with Northern Nigeria, but official geography does not change because of personal feelings.

The truth is simple: We have North West, North East, and North Central, all part of Northern Nigeria. No document of government recognizes a separate “Middle Belt.”

This is not about hate or division. It is about clarity, honesty, & owning our shared history. Unity starts with truth, not invented labels.
