End of a fantastic iteration of RPH Masterclass!
Royal Perth Hospital Barrett's Masterclass 2024 successfully concluded yesterday with participation of over 100 delegates.
A world renowned faculty consisting of who's who in Barrett's congregated in Perth to deliver a day where every aspect of Barrett's was dissected, examined and carefully presented to the audience.
Our faculty: Prasad Iyer, Rajvinder Singh, Vinay Sehgal, Sri Ganeshamurthy Thrumurthy, Dr Michael Swan, Matthew Remedios, Jacques Bergman, Reginald Lord, Bradley Kendall, Andrew Taylor, Yuto Shimamura, Michael Ma, Daniel Venetz, Priyanthi Kumarasinghe, Marcus Chin, Chiang Siah

Carefully selected number of live endoscopy cases were performed to demonstrate and reinforce the didactic talks from the faculty. We ensured these cases spark debate, discussion and informed decision making among the panel and delegates.
The case based discussion (MDT) is a novel item that we have added to our Masterclasses having done the first if these last year. This was very well received by the audience.

The wait is over…
It is the week of RPH Barrett’s Masterclass 2024.

This Thursday will mark a special occasion in the history of Barrett’s Endoscopy not only in WA, but also in Australia with its first dedicated conference with participation of more than 100 delegates and many faculty members of international reputation including Prof Rajvinder Singh, Prof Prasad Iyer, Prof Jacques Bergman A/Prof @YutoShimamura and Prof Priyanthi Kumarasinghe to name just a few.

There will be a showcase of new technologies including the new Fuji 840TP gastroscope with EP-8000 processor, and cryotherapy for Barrett’s, both being used in live endoscopy for the first time in Australia.
There will be didactic talks including the latest updates in diagnostics, epidemiology management and surveillance, plus case based discussions of real world scenarios.

I’m very proud to be co-convening this landmark event along with Prof @KrishRagunath under the auspices of the WA Barrett’s Registry (WABOR).
