But cap implications of acquiring Hronek are big after 1 season, big downside risk of signing a contract that sucks in the back half like OEL's.

Trading the NYI 1st, we have less chance to get a good cost-controlled player.

With Petey & Hughes, you could aim for a senior/junior structure with the high draft picks from this year and next by being sellers generating your cost controlled successor core to Petterson and Hughes in their late 20s. Not ideal, but better than being buyers now IMO.

@lydiaelder There's definitely been tip inflation, esp since restaurants started having post-tax % tip suggestion buttons.

In the 90s, 20% was a very big tip. 10% was a bad tip. 'Double the GST' (14% of pre-tax total at the time) was a quick way to calculate a fair tip for good service.
