Friendly reminder we are nearly 300 epochs from the #Altair upgrade. If you haven't already, be sure to update your client software. It all happens on epoch 74240 https://t.co/49T3as8hAN
Outside of my upcoming new C++ class, I'm pondering a class just on Hex-Rays. Potential topics include: all UI/type system features, RE strategies, selected Hex-Rays internals, and the SDK. Is there public interest in that? If so, how interesting to you is the SDK vs. the others?
@ghidraninja (Given incorrectly disassembled function) take manually disassembled code and undefined functions, and add them to an existing function. Bonus points for adding control flow edges to previously mentioned blocks for register retpolines calls. Bonus points for updating decomp view.
@alisaesage Forgive me if I’m being naive, but wouldn’t this technically not be an escape since in most (if not all) circumstances you wouldn’t be able to hit this from a guest?
@touisteur@ebeip90 If that’s a feature I’ll definitely keep using it. It’s also been awhile since I’ve needed to do a proposal or presentation. For my own workflow I usually just use text files and mediawiki. Pandas is also a godsend for getting my personal stuff ready for a public facing doc
@touisteur@ebeip90 Totally fair, it’s really awesome. Seeing the fact people are using equations in “labels” makes me jealous. I’ll have to check to see if it’s possible to do, I really do love it’s extensibility and portability. I keep a .jar on my essentials drive at all times.
I'm not that great a chess player, but a pretty good hacker...so after watching The Queen's Gambit I of course put my skills to great use and found a board setup I could give to a chess engine to have it segfault when it tries to search for the next best move...
take that
If you want to help @shellphish's research in decompilers, have fun playing a new CTF format ⛳️, and possibly buy that item parked in your wish list for too long, you should check this out -> https://t.co/4mVTXHjqLa.
@yoavalon Kind of like when chess was only a human game. Chess was considered “art,” and would always be dominated by people. Matter of time before this claim will seem just as outlandish.
