@TheFanRookie Close to a decade of great social coverage, man. That place was lucky to have you not just on Canes, but those who worked with you know just how much you contributed across the region.
It’s no secret that @KLChouinard does great work on NBA and we were lucky to have him for years on our Hawks social coverage. Hire him. He’s still in his prime.
Alas, my season at FanDuel Sports Network ended prematurely. Much, if not all, of their social/digital team has been let go.
Thanks to @Zach_Dillard for taking a chance on someone too old to do socials 8 years ago & definitely too old now.
(But if you have a gig, I'll listen.)
It’s been surprisingly emotional saying goodbye and reflecting on the past decade-plus. I’m grateful for the entire run.
Exciting opportunity ahead, but I will miss it here.
I started at FOX Sports South as an intern in 2012.
Over the past 12 years, I’ve learned from so many talented individuals and worked alongside amazing colleagues on a daily basis. This place and the people here — behind the scenes and on your televisions — mean a lot to me.
Ronald Acuña Jr.’s age-22 through age-26 seasons:
2020: COVID season
2021: Torn ACL
2022: Limited by ACL recovery
2023: Wins MVP
2024: Torn ACL
Devastating.
Hearing @DWilkins21 announce "that kid's going places" to the world is very meaningful in the most Atlanta way possible.
Thank you to @teeveechic, @BobRathbunTV and our entire Hawks family for surprising us with this moment last night.
On the Zoom call immediately after winning his first career MVP award, Ronald Acuña Jr. abruptly ran off camera and never returned.
We were told he left to go hit.
