A’s update on prospect Ryan Lasko: Underwent spinal decompression and stabilization surgery resulting from a C6 – C7 vertebra fracture at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano last night. Dr. Jonathan Poggi performed the surgery, and Ryan is in stable condition at this time.
As a lifelong Stars fan who is 29 years old.
I am really emotional about potentially watching Benn’s last game as a Star. Many younger fans think of him as a goon or heel.
I watched him usher this franchise into what it is today. He was the transition from Brenden Morrow to the juggernaut it has become.
He won an Art Ross. For a few seasons, he was up there with prime Crosby and Ovechkin.
He won Gold in 2014 with team Canada.
I understand he is a polarizing player, and deserving of criticism lately, but please understand that he is a franchise legend.
I have watched him for 17 seasons. His jersey number should never be worn in Dallas ever again.
If you retire and never wear Victory Green again.
Thank you, Jamie.

The @UTDBaseball Comets just recorded their third straight home sweep and are a perfect 11-0 at home.
What an impressive start to the season at 22-8, as UT Dallas will at minimum be tied for 1st place in their first season in the Lone Star Conference after today.

A very blunt Pat Hallmark after the team's loss to Texas-Arlington:
"It's embarrassing. I'm embarrassed to be the coach tonight. The pitchers should be embarrassed to put 16 people on base with a lot of people here, a lot of kids at the ballpark. I feel bad for [the kids], quite frankly.
"I don't love losing, but I can lose if I feel like you just beat me up with the bat. I don't like losing with the walk, so I won't sleep very well tonight."
