@MotionlessLau My best guess is age related toning (exposure to light/chemicals)
I’m not expert on UK coinage, but I do know A LOT of £2 are faked. The queens portrait looks a little iffy. Wouldn’t hurt to compare it against other coins
Still, it’s interesting and good job for noticing it!
