ایران کے صدر ڈاکٹر مسعود پزشکیان اسلام آباد پہنچ گئے. صدر مملکت آصف علی زرداری اور وزیراعظم محمد شہباز شریف نے ایران کے صدر ڈاکٹر مسعود پزشکیان کا نورخان ایئربیس آمد پر پرتپاک خیرمقدم کیا۔

نائب وزیراعظم و وزیرخارجہ سینیٹر محمد اسحاق ڈار، وفاقی وزیر داخلہ محسن نقوی، وفاقی وزیر ��طلاعات و نشریات عطاء اللہ تارڑ اور اعلیٰ حکام بھی اس موقع پر موجودتھے۔ ایران کے وزیر خارجہ عباس عراقچی اور ایران کا اعلیٰ سطح وفد بھی صدر مسعود پزشکیان کے ہمرا ہے۔

ایرانی صدر ڈاکٹر مسعود پزشکیان کا ایئر پورٹ پر شاندار استقبال کیا گیا، انہیں 21 توپوں کی سلامی دی گئی جبکہ پاک فضائیہ کے جے ایف 17 طیاروں نے بھی انہیں سلامی پیش کی۔

اس موقع پر روایتی لباس میں ملبوس بچوں نے صدر مسعود پزشکیان کو پھول پیش کئے جبکہ پاکستان اور ایران کے پرچم تھامے بچوں نے ایرانی صدر کا خیرمقدم کیا۔ صدر مسعود پزشکیان نے ہاتھ ہلا کر بچوں کے خیرمقدمی نعروں کا جواب دیا۔ ایرانی صدر مسعود پزشکیان نے پاکستانی قیادت کے ساتھ گرمجوشی کے ساتھ معانقہ و مصافحہ کیا۔ خاتون اول آصفہ بھٹو زرداری اور چیئرمین پاکستان پیپلز پارٹی بلاول بھٹو زرداری بھی استقبال کیلئے موجود تھے۔ ایران کے صدر ڈاکٹر مسعود پزشکیان کا بطور صدر، پاکستان کا یہ دوسرا دورہ ہے۔

Alhamdulillah, the First High-Level Committee Meeting under the framework of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding has concluded successfully in Bürgenstock, Switzerland.

The discussions were held in a positive and constructive atmosphere and yielded encouraging progress, including agreement on a roadmap toward a final deal within 60 days, the establishment of a High-Level Committee to provide political oversight, and the commencement of further technical talks.

I commend the leadership of both the United States as well as Iran for their continued commitment to constructive engagement, and thank all brotherly and friendly countries for their valuable support in advancing this historic process.

In particular, I would like to express my gratitude to our brotherly country Qatar, for its critical support in creating the conditions necessary for these negotiations to move forward.

A word of thanks to the Swiss Government for their facilitation in hosting these talks.

I would like to pay special tribute to Field Marshal Asim Munir whose untiring efforts made these talks a success. His dedication, commitment and perseverance are indeed commendable without which there would have been no progress.

I would like to pay my warm compliments and heartfelt gratitude to Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, for his diplomatic efforts along with his team at the Foreign Office. I also deeply appreciate the hard work of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi who contributed immensely to the success of these talks.

Pakistan will continue to play its honest and sincere role in advancing dialogue and diplomacy towards a peaceful and lasting resolution.
