As a result, in #Tigray region the #TPLF forces (#TDF) have issued statements warning that #Ethiopian Airlines (@flyethiopian), and Mekelle airport, could be legitimate military targets.
#Eritrea: Longstanding Commitment to the Empowerment of Women
*"...Eritrea has recorded advances in several areas associated with women’s well-being and participation. Figures cited by national and international organizations indicate progress in financial inclusion, business activity, education, and representation. For example, life expectancy has risen from fewer than 50 years in 1991 to approximately 72 years. Women’s participation in the national microcredit and savings scheme has also increased significantly. According to national estimates, women account for approximately 56 percent of beneficiaries, compared with around 16 percent in 1995".
*"...Women have also established a substantial presence in business and professional life. Available national figures indicate that they hold approximately 48 percent of business licenses nationwide, constitute around 51 percent of the formal labour force, and occupy roughly 46 percent of managerial positions".
*"...Of course, the improvements highlighted above do not automatically eliminate all obstacles. Social expectations, unequal access to resources, and differences in opportunities among communities can continue to affect women’s experiences. Sustained education, effective implementation of rights, and accessible support services remain important to consolidating progress".
*"...Overall, the story of the NUEW is inseparable from the story of Eritrean women: their courage during the struggle for independence, their contributions to nation-building, and their continuing efforts to advance dignity, opportunity, and equality. Through its longstanding commitment to education, advocacy, and empowerment, the Union remains an important part of Eritrea’s ongoing journey toward a society in which women’s rights are respected, their capabilities recognized, and their contributions fully valued.

In an interview with CGTN, the unhinged and mercurial Getachew Redda resorts to his stock in trade: dwell on utter falsehoods to accomplish the specific task to which he is assigned at a given point in time.
His political allegiance has shifted from one extreme to the other in the past three years; (He is even on record for saying that when he is tipsy, he is in favor of Tigray's independence).
The link below enumerates some of the outlandish and disparaging labels he used to describe the Potemkin Party, and especially its leader; to whom he is aligned to now.
As it is, his current diatribe against Eritrea falls in the same mold; the cheap mutterings of a notorious hireling!

A recent video reportedly released by the TDF shows Ethiopian government soldiers captured by TDF forces, yet not a single major international media outlet has reported on it. Where is Al Jazeera? Where are the media outlets that are so quick to spread false and misleading reports about Eritrea? Why the silence now? Where is the balanced reporting?

The people of Eritrea are peace-seekers who pray to the Creator for peace in our region and across the world. But our commitment to peace must never be mistaken for weakness: Eritrea will not surrender a single millimeter of its sovereignty.
ERITREA ― Host country #Ethiopia cannot simply invoke bilateral diplomatic law to expel #Eritrea’s representatives to the @_AfricanUnion and UNECA, potentially undermining Eritrea’s right to representation in these institutions.
Eritrea has challenged the expulsion, arguing that it threatens its participation in continental institutions and its rights as a member state.
Why is the @_AfricanUnion remaining silent? Will it defend its institutional principles and the rights of its member states, or allow this precedent to stand unchallenged?
