⚾️ The State of College Baseball press conference returned to Omaha this week, bringing together leader from the NCAA, Baseball Committeee and ABCA to discuss the current landscape and future of college baseball.

ABCA Executive Director Craig Keilitz reflected on what makes this time of year so special:

"There's not a better spot to be than Omaha, Nebraska in mid-June..."

From record attendance and growing fan interest to the incredible atmosphere surrounding the Men's College World Series, college baseball continues to build momentum year after year.

The road to Omaha began with a vision.

In 1947, the ABCA, then known as the American Association of College Baseball Coaches, founded the College World Series.

Nearly 80 years later, the tradition continues as college baseball's biggest stage returns to Omaha!

The ABCA is deeply saddened of Fourth Vice President and Board Member Rob Hahne.

Hahne dedicated his life to serving players, coaches, and the game of baseball. Through his leadership, he made an immeasurable impact on youth baseball both throughout the DMV region and nationally. From mentoring young athletes and coaches to helping create initiatives that strengthened and grew the sport at the youth level, Rob’s influence will be felt for generations.

His commitment to bringing the baseball community together was unmatched. We extend our deepest condolences to Rob’s family, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives he impacted through the game he loved.

The 2026 ABCA Convention reminded us why this event continues to be the heartbeat of baseball education!

From world-class clinics and interactive Q&A sessions to new programming and meaningful conversations across every level of the game, last week delivered four powerful days of learning and connection.

Attendees can expect access to the all of the Convention videos in early February, with all ABCA members receiving access to the new videos in May.

Next year, we do it again.
