Ironically Imam Ul Haq has been diagnosed Grade I tear of the calf & she’ll be out of action for 10 days.
A Grade I calf strain (gastrocnemius/soleus tear) requires the muscle to be loaded and stretched or contracted forcefully.
Standing still in the slips, with no sudden movement, is not a plausible mechanism on its own.
But slip fielding isn’t purely static. A Grade I tear could occur without any obvious “stretch” if there was:
a. A sudden dive, lunge, or push-off to a catch
b. An explosive first step to move for the ball
c. Rising abruptly from the crouched slip stance
d. A quick change of direction or awkward planted-foot movement
Any of these can produce the rapid eccentric load that tears a few muscle fibres, even if the fielder felt they were “just standing there” a moment before.
Purely standing motionless, weight-bearing but without acceleration or forceful contraction, would not cause it.
The injury needs a triggering load, however brief. So the honest answer is: not from standing alone, but yes from the small dynamic movements that slip fielding involves, & those can happen fast enough that the cricketer may not register them as a “stretch.

I'm so fucking tired of the excuses people come up with to defend GTA 6. Graphics this, graphics that. Suddenly 30 FPS is perfectly fine when Dawnwalker was getting dragged for it.
Then it's "the story and protagonists don't need to be well written because I don't play games for the story anyway."
Give these people a gift and they'll play with the box.
"Don't like the thing I like? You're an inherently flawed person or just lying!"
Holy rigged framing.
I'm impressed by GTA 6, but I'm not going to sit here and pretend the hate people have for Take-Two, that's being projection onto GTA 6 is somehow less valid.
New game Nodus Fall by miHoyo, the makers of Genshin Impact.
So this is where all the money from Genshin went.
Next time when you see quality Chinese gatcha games, don't be afraid to spend some money on it.
Imagine running a company so efficiently and keeping your teams so small, that hiring a single engineer is newsworthy, and they are almost always the top of their field.
I can't imagine how Valve continues to be the most successful game company in the industry.
