I think an intelligence explosion would be a complete disaster for humanity.

It’s impossible to get off the exponential curve. But the exponential curve must be navigated through clear step functions.

Our society both in terms of Institutions and how people work must be allowed to come to an equilibrium. Humans survived through adaptation and passing on their knowledge as tools for survival.

If the environment changes too rapidly then there is no coherence in the system to pass down those tools for survival. The system becomes incredibly unstable.
