@VailResorts I bought a 700 dollar epic local pass in April ‘19 to use this week in Tahoe, and week of 4/6 in Utah. I won’t get any days on that pass this year. All businesses are taking a hit from COVID. If you want me to ever buy another epic pass, you’re going to have to compensate

@mslauren2930 @VailResorts It’s actually Vail’s biz model of locking in people to their resorts before the season starts, then penalizing that customer loyalty. If Vail doesn’t take that into account, epic pass sales will suffer next season

@mslauren2930 @VailResorts Vail’s biz model is making passes at the window expensive so that if you’re going to ride 4 days this season a pass is the better option. Many families buy for that one trip they will take.

@mslauren2930 @VailResorts This locks ppl into Vail, and allows them to charge higher rents at the properties they own. These people are hurt when Vail then renders the pass useless and doesn’t offer to compensate. Locals are shaming pass holders as if it’s rich people complaining.

@VailResorts I’m on a 7:21 flight from ny to Tahoe. Apparently this decision was posted on twitter over an hour ago. Had you emailed all season pass holders, I would not have gotten on this flight. Instead I found out all Tahoe resorts are closed once the doors were shut. Thanks a lot!
