Just dropped a simple Expo App template that lets you run Gemma 3na locally with a native bridge to MediaPipe AI 🚀Great starting point if you want to experiment with on-device LLMs.Fork it, build on it, break stuff.

@levelsio Software is closer to the printing industry than agriculture. Before printers, books were hand written by scribes. Then printing came, scribes faded, but new roles emerged editors, publishers, writers, painters. Same now with AGI. Coding by hand is fading. New roles will rise
@CaptainJefs@levelsio Yes, the way apps work now requires constant updates for the UI, backend, and the way apps interact with users. I guess AI will evolve to a point where it can generate the UI dynamically and manage the db and front end without the need for developers to provide updates
@levelsio If the tools, programming languages, and frameworks change because of AI, my guess is that the way software engineering looks in the future will be very different from now. Instead of AI taking software engineering jobs, jobs will look totally different.
@levelsio One question we should ask is whether traditional programming will still be necessary to build apps in the future. If AI can generate complete applications—managing both the backend and the client side—will we still need conventional programming languages?
