Today I join key stakeholders at the Mayardit Academy for Space Sciences University of Juba, who have partnered with the Israel Embassy in South Sudan to host a one day seminar on “ Israel Space Science: Sharing experiences and best practices with South Sudan.

The @NCA_SSD recognises the role that space technologies play in providing critical solution to the connectivity challenges especially in remote areas which has prompted the NCA to focus on Harnessing these technologies for the benefit of the sector.

Thus in 2020 we embarked on journey of acquiring 2 orbital slots for communication and broadcasting satellites in the geostationary orbit, a process that culminated in 2023 at the ITU WRC Dubai where SSD officially acquired these orbital slots #connectingSSD
