So much gaming discourse punishes games that are just okay instead of uplifting the ones that are actually good.
Games and talking about games should be fun.
Thoughtful critique matters just as much as praise.
We need more sane posts in the sea of ragebait.
Outside of the audio issues, Summer Games Fest was decent. Guild Wars 3, Code Veronica and FF7 Revelation are exciting. Wasn't anything too surprising during the show though. It was nice seeing more of Gen Atlas as well.
Update: An Amazon spokesperson tells VGC it's "too early to discuss future projects" but it has "a great relationship with IO Interactive".
"Our partners at IO will reveal more about 007 First Light in the near future and we’re looking forward to sharing what’s next", it adds.
Finished First Light, they did a fantastic job recreating a bond film. Combat was great, some great characters and direction. Had a few gripes but a solid game all-round Hope we see a trilogy with this version of Bond.
I knew people would be upset about the new God Of War but it's hard to tell what's genuine online anymore.
Fyps just seem to push engagement bait and everyone just copy pastes the same talking points to trend every time a new game comes out.
I know people aren't going to like not playing Kratos but the combat is honestly already looking better. Just have to get over the it's Karen Page, which I'm sure won't take long. Might actually need to get a PS5 now though since it probably isn't coming to PC.
Leaking it now. Windows 12 is getting announced alongside an NVIDIA "AI" processing chip with the tagline the future is AI. The Windows search bar is getting replaced with an LLM voice activated assistant and DLSS 5 is going to be expanded on outside of gaming.
He knows it does, he just can't say it. The majority of people will always seek out higher numbers or someone they already know.
As hard as they try Twitch just isn't the platform for discoverability and I'm not sure that user behaviour will change even with recommended sorting.
Twitch CEO Dan Clancy says viewbotters aren't helping streamers get real viewers, saying it has a small impact on 'discover'
“If you’re using recommended [sorting], you’re not being influenced by viewbots, and it doesn’t help promote the channel”
Medallion's humming... that can only mean one thing! It's time to announce The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Songs of the Past! ⚔️
This brand new expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will take you to the Path with Geralt of Rivia once more. It’s being co-developed with @Fools_Theory and is coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 in 2027. Stay tuned for more information in late summer. ⏰
Sony has patented a feature that uses AI to show players short-form content while waiting for their game to load
The videos could include content like gameplay highlights, social media clips, AI-generated match analysis and ads
It's crazy that this game has made a billion before even announcing a full release date. I've seen it's playable but curious how feature complete it is at this point.
