Speaking at the Zimbabwe Business Forum in New York, held under the theme “Global Challenges. Zimbabwean Solutions. Shared Prosperity,” ZimTrade Chief Executive Officer Mr. Allan Majuru highlighted Zimbabwe’s skilled workforce, strategic regional location, agricultural exports, mineral resources and growing manufacturing capacity as key opportunities for international investors.

He called on the business community to explore partnerships with Zimbabwe and contribute to building a more integrated, industrialised and prosperous economy.

This evening, in New York, on the margins of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 81), His Excellency President Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa met with United Nations Secretary-General Mr. António Guterres to solidify Zimbabwe's strategic position within the global multilateral system.

During their wide-ranging discussions on multilateralism, climate justice, water security, and global system reform, President Mnangagwa delivered a message, positioning Zimbabwe not merely as an individual nation, but as a unified voice for the African continent.

The President emphasized that true global peace and sustainable development cannot be achieved until the international financial architecture and global governance systems are structurally reformed to support developing nations fairly.

By advocating for robust climate adaptation financing, advancing water diplomacy for water-scarce nations, and championing the inclusion of women in global peace processes, the engagement directly benefits Zimbabwe by elevating its diplomatic influence ahead of its historic seat on the UN Security Council for the 2027–2028 term.

UN Secretary-General, Mr. Guterres recognized Zimbabwe's principled voice, reinforcing the success of the Second Republic's foreign policy as an active, indispensable player in shaping an equitable and prosperous global future for Africa.
