Last month, I had the incredible privilege of graduating with a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from @Harvard alongside my wife @claire_hamid (MPP). We began our journey together as undergraduates at @AmericanU, and after living in 5 countries and raising 2 children, we are excited to give back to the community that has embraced our family. The 31st Harvard Business School Asia Business Conference brought together some incredible leaders, and I had the privilege of hearing from Ira Noviarti, former CEO of Unilever Indonesia, in a keynote moderated by Professor Sunil Gupta—whom I was fortunate to learn from during my first year at HBS.

One insight from Ira stood out:

“Success today does not guarantee success tomorrow.”

This reminded me of a key challenge every leader faces: avoiding the complacency trap. Even the strongest companies can be disrupted if they don’t continuously evolve.
