Nerfing loot is fine especially if causes server issues. GGG has said they will not do mid league nerfs anymore, but they also said if something causes server issues they will make changes.
These changes are bad.
People who already set up their temples can continue to farm on the high end, and people who had less time to play are now completely left behind. This is probably the worst hotfix I’ve ever seen them deploy.
The temple mechanic rewards time, knowledge, has insane potential for scaling (less so now) and rewards building strong characters. People shouldn’t be penalized for not being able to no-life and build perfect temples before a hotfix like this.
This only impacts the casual players negatively, which is the majority of your playerbase @pathofexile
Hello @mojang@minecraft@Microsoft this image confuses me and makes me think less of Minecraft and Mojang as a brand. I will never be purchasing any Minecraft or Mojang related merchandise or watching any Minecraft related media because of this image.
This is one of the most disgusting posts I've seen on twitter.
I don't know Danya, but I watched his content and was sad to hear about his passing.
But in what sport is it acceptable for the president of the governing body to blame the friends of the aggrieved for not doing enough when given multiple chances as the governing body to intervene. And in the face of multiple calls to do so.
How fucked up is FIDE?
2 sentences about Kramnik and long paragraphs about ”friends that didn’t help”. I am in disbelief about this tweet.
Please @EmilSutovsky and @FIDE_chess do something about Vladimir Kramnik. Your actions now will be remembered from the chess world for years to come.
Do everything in your power to make sure justice is served. For Daniel Naroditsky, and all other people who become victims of cyber-bullying.
Archiving this post in case he deletes it.
This kind of behavior should never be accepted from the CEO of the biggest organization of any sport.
@EmilSutovsky must immediately resign, or @FIDE_chess must immediately fire him. This is unacceptable.
This is one of the most disgusting and vile things I have ever read, and that's saying a lot as a woman growing up in chess. "Where were all of you when Danya was alive and unwell?". You are the CEO of the governing body of chess and in your first real comments since the passing of one of our greatest talents, coaches, and ambassadors you decide to blame the public when you have absolutely no idea who Danya had been in contact with?
Where the f*ck were you? Certainly not protecting your players from harassment because I'm sure that might have interfered with your protection of FIDE President Dvorkovich, close friends with Kramnik. You both accuse his friends knowing NOTHING about the support he received and remove any responsibility from yourself at the same time. Truly pathetic.
We aren't oversimplifying anything. We know the damage Kramnik did to Danya because he told us in some of his final painful words. Trivializing the world's call for justice against Kramnik's malicious campaign of harassment isn't "virtue signaling", but I'm not at all surprised this would be your take given your morals have been bought out for many years now.
But you are right about one thing. We absolutely didn't do enough while Danya was with us, we were not vocal enough about the failures of FIDE to uphold it's own bylaws, and that's what makes me the most sick. It's a mistake I won't make again. You are clearly unfit to lead FIDE. You are a disgrace to Chess and everything it should stand for. Resign immediately.
Sorry, Danya 🕊️💔 I watched you fade from joyful & brilliant to broken. I stayed quiet out of fear, and I feel angry and guilty for not speaking up when you needed us🙏🏼
We may not know the cause of his death, but we saw him suffer for months, repeatedly telling us he was being bullied by Kramnik.@VBkramnik gave no condolences and keeps insisting he was right. This is outrageous and unacceptable!!!
@FIDE_chess investigate, act, and hold bullies accountable.
#JusticeForDanya
As I go through my second sleepless night, I continue to process my emotions. I didn’t know Danya closely, but his loss feels deeply personal. Danya was a good person and a valued member of the chess family.
During this time, @akaNemsko, @NihalSarin, @GMHikaru, and many others have voiced what I too have felt — about Kramnik’s persistent cyberbullying.
I call upon @FIDE_chess to act. FIDE has a clear Ethics and Disciplinary Code, and it’s difficult to see how Kramnik’s conduct doesn’t violate multiple points, especially under Article 11(screenshots attached)
It’s too late to help Danya, but many of us continue to fear for players like David Navara and others whose mental health is under direct attack.
If the word ethics truly holds meaning in FIDE’s charter — and if Gens Una Sumus is more than just a slogan — FIDE must act.
I urge fellow members of the chess community who feel the same to join in calling on FIDE to take action.
cc @EmilSutovsky
Your harassment directly contributed to the deteriorating mental health of a 29 year old man who spent his childhood looking up to you.
Kramnik, nobody cares about your accolades in chess if you're a fucking loser of a human being. Don't bother doing better, it's too late.
The death of Daniel Naroditsky was caused by the neverending attacks on him by Vladimir Kramnik. Don't ever let this scumbag bully anyone ever again @VBkramnik
By the end of his life, Bobby Fischer was living in exile. Basically driven mad, wildly antisemitic, existing as a hermit.
And somehow, Kramnik’s legacy, in the end, will have fallen even lower.
He won’t be remembered for his chess, he’ll be remembered for being an asshole.
There are not many people who I hate witch such a passion as Vladimir Kramnik. An evil, disgusting excuse of a human being as everyone else who enable him.
Vladimir Kramnik should be the one rotting in hell right now, the absolute scumbag has Danya’s blood on his hands and he won’t accept any responsibility when Danya has said how much having his IDOL harass him has affected his mental health. There is no helping him at this point.
In watching the clip below of Danya's last stream and hearing the pain in his voice, how deeply the baseless accusations affected him, I am left so mad at what we all allowed to happen right in front of us.
It's time to stop worrying about the backlash. I am calling on the FIDE EDC to remove Vladimir Kramnik from the FIDE record books, revoke his title, and disqualify his world championship. Chess is one of the most beloved games in the world and should be a place for kindness and inclusion. It should be unilaterally unacceptable to use a platform that Chess has given you to bully, harass, and slander a colleague. What Kramnik has done to David Navara, Hikaru, and Danya, and others can not be tolerated.
It is up to our community and the governing body to set an example that this type of behavior will have consequences. Make it known loud and clear that Chess stands against these hateful acts. If you do them intentionally and maliciously there will be no place for you in our game.
FIDE and it's EDC must establish clear policies moving forward around the safety of it's players both in person and digitally. The events leading up to this tragedy happened in broad daylight over the last 18 months. They could have been stopped. Nothing like this can ever be allowed to happen again.
