@weeb_ams Definitely. It would have hit really hard. Don’t get me wrong, the ending makes me cry every single time. But I just don’t think the story NEEDED to end the way it did. This is not like AnJ where the ending feels absolutely perfect for the character.
@weeb_ams That’s definitely fine. I’m not super fond of the way it ends either. I think Garden of Light makes it better, but I think the ending of Banana Fish is the only part that I don’t absolutely adore.
@weeb_ams Well, there’s more manga that confirms it.
I think he accepts it because he’s happy. Happy that Eiji is safe and that he feels genuinely loved. Continuing would probably put the people he loves in more danger, he can never fully escape his past. Except for, you know.
Can we talk about what an amazing job Yuu Hayashi is doing as Olmar in Vinland Saga? Such a good pick for his voice, and he really sold all the emotions in the latest episode.
@HimuraBattou28 Great picks! Mine would like a little bit different, but we share 3/4! Kenshin, Sojiro, Shishio and Anji would be on my personal top 4.
Oh, and ✔️!
It's so strange whenever people show me current One Piece clips and the animation looks great most of the time. But they basically use the same sound effects from Slayers. The sound design and visuals don't meld together at all.
Also, and I don’t say this to be mean, I feel like I see less and less people talking about this franchise. Why make a movie now?
Love-action movies, especially western ones, based on manga don’t exactly have a good track record either.
